SENIOR LEADERSHIP TEAM DEVELOPMENT

Challenge

The CEO of a resource management business reached out for assistance to improve teamwork and build cohesiveness amongst the senior leadership team (SLT) following a period of organisational change. A breakdown in communication amongst executives was causing friction, ineffectiveness, and impacting the greater team.

Action

Cornerstone facilitated a DiSC training workshop, creating content focused on the 8 Dimensions of Leadership and the specific needs of the business. The workshop was supported with interactive activities, and an accompanying workbook and handouts to strengthen the key takeaways. Following this, each of the SLT members participated in a 1 on 1 coaching session with the DiSC facilitator to further develop the learnings and address individual priorities and needs. Furthermore, Cornerstone provided additional resources for leadership development in support of the DiSC model.

Outcome

Following on from the group workshop and individual coaching sessions, Cornerstone has facilitated check ins with the CEO to gauge the effectiveness of the DiSC training. The CEO reported increased communication and collaboration between the SLT, and better conflict resolution strategies being implemented by executives.
